Adventures with Hellboy; A Day In The Life

This is a conversation between my mother in law, sister, and myself today on Facebook. I needed to record these little moments and figured this was the easiest way to save the memory! I would KILL to have had a camera for these moments!! As we are approaching 3, his personality is taking on a life of it’s own! My Little Big Man is helpful, quirky, charming, funny, a rascal, a brute, loving, and so so curious.

So….your nephew…peed in his own mouth tonight in the tub!!!!!!!! I still can’t stop laughing at him!! I told him that’s what he gets for playing with him! I WISH I couldn’t have captured his face when hit him in the face! He thought the stream was pretty cool until that point! BAHAHAHAHAHAA I AM STILL crying from laughing so hard and it was over 2 hours ago!!!

    • Amanda McCalister Cole He has been hilarious for a couple of days now. He is talking a little more and BOY the stuff he says is unexpected!! Tonight he tried to launch off from sitting in the floor while we were looking at some posters that have his letters and words on them, and he stepped on one and couldn’t get traction and plowed up some floor!!!! It was like a cartoon! His legs were moving he just wasn’t going anywhere!!!!!!!!!!

I walk in his room to check on him and I would have SWORN he had gone invisible or been abducted by aliens. No Alek in his room, but there was a diaper, still fastened together laying in the floor like he was poofed right out of it!!!!!

Seems like she is ragged on constantly for “aging” herself, but I really like her style. She manages to always look classy even with a cigarette hanging out of her mouth! Haha, mostly. I plan on using Polyvore to recreate some of these looks, and it’s just easier to “clip” them this way.

She’s gone country….

Look at them boots!

Well, not that far but my tastes in decorating have changed so much in the last few years, it’s unreal! I have tried just about every style there is and I seem to have landed right back to my roots! I suppose it could be because of how far from “home” we have gone and will have to go in the future. I’d like to be able to take a little bit of that comfortable, lived in style with us everywhere. I love the warm colors and miss-matched prints. Cotton is my favorite fabric. So easy to care for and it only gets softer over time. Also with a more country style, the more worn in your furnishings and fabrics get, the more it fits in with the overall scheme. What’s not to love about that??

And since I am praying that our next tour takes us to Texas (please oh please!) it’s only fitting! :)

We have several antique wicker bottom chairs that I’d like to preserve as much as possible and I love this idea of mounting them on the wall (on hooks of course!) You could ever use them like shelves :)

I love love love this living room. The stars, the birds, the colors, and the plaid are perfect. Except that loud couch. The print is too busy for me.

Finally decided on what finish of wood I want for most of my furniture. Natural finish on top, and white on the bottom :)

That cat gives me the willies, but I’ll take the lamp!

I have always wanted a couch or seating area in my kitchen. Everyone gathers there anyway- just makes sense you have a spot for them!

I WILL have Jasmine on my porch! And near my bedroom window!

I’m also determined to get one of those stars for the exterior of my house too. The red door has been on my list forever and her choice of color for the siding and the white trim looks so good!

I love her mixture of wood finishes and fabric patterns :)
